Jessie & Andy Wedding | Menzies Hotel Sydney |Mrs Macquarie’s Chair | Italian Village

We recently shot the wedding of Jessie & Andy, a lovely couple from the UK. Jessie is actually from Sydney and when we met her a year ago still sounded kinda Aussie but by the time the wedding came round the British accent had well and truly taken over 🙂

They both got ready at The Menzies Hotel, just on different floors. Which made preparation really easy for everyone. We had lots of time to walk around and explore the lobby and other cool areas in the hotel for photos. They had a beautiful ceremony which was held at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair in the Royal Botanic Gardens, with champagne and beverages available right after the ceremony. And I think organising drinks at the ceremony  is a great tip for all couples who do outdoor weddings. There is nothing better than having a bit of bubbly after tying the knot, especially on a hot day.

They had also organised the gardens ‘scenic train’ for their guests, to get them from Mrs Macquaries Chair to the Opera House, and also to take us around for photos.

The reception was over in The Rocks at Italian Village which boasts more fantastic Sydney views for them and their UK guests.
