Just got the results from the 8×10 (second half) WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) in the USA and I am happy to say that we received our best results so far. The top image won third place, while to bottom two images received Accolades of Excellence

It was so great to finally shoot the cool modern ‘country’ wedding of Maree and Aaron. We started with the boys as usual, before heading over to see the girls. And I really loved Maree’s dress which made her look like a beautiful Grecian goddess.

The ceremony was held at a gorgeous spot called ‘The Old Farm’ on Purvines. Which is kind of like a farm but much more manicured with gorgeo

us gardens, ponds etc. Beautiful spot.

We had some fun with the location photography where we heading into this old tree plantation, before heading over to the reception venue which

was Tebbutts Observatory.

We started off the day with the boys at Kristen and Jason’s home, before heading over to Kristen’s parents house where all the girls were getting dressed. The ceremony was held at a gorgeous church in Ashfield, St Vincents Church.

Then we drove into the city, into the Rocks, where it was bride central. There was at least eight brides on this one street which was a bit crazy

From there we headed to the reception venue which was at Strathfield Golf Club, where we were lucky enough to have a quick shoot on the course.

Sarah & Paul Wedding | Chinese Gardens Sydney | Wildfire Restaurant Sydney

We started off Sarah & Paul’s wedding coverage with the boys who were staying at the Park Hyatt Hotel right on Sydney Harbour. Then went to Sarah’s house to capture her final preparations. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Chinese Gardens. Where we had a bit of a play around the gardens before heading into the city for a shoot. Then over to the reception at the wonderful Wildfire Restaurant at the Overseas Passenger Terminal. Sarah & Paul were so relaxed and easy going that it may the day such a joy.

Rebecca Maternity – Sydney Maternity Photographer

We did this maternity shoot with Rebecca around the rock pools of Coogee. And the ocean was actually quite rough that day, so we made sure that we kept well away from the edges and stayed on the dry parts of the rocks so that there were no accidents. Making sure Mums don’t fall or slip, is one of my most important safety factors when shooting outdoors.

I also tried out my black & white background here. So the last two photos were just taken around the rocks and not actually in a studio. Which is great in that we can create a few different looks in the same area.
