Trash the Dress was again in the headlines in todays Daily Telegraph. A Coffs Harbour photographer has done a trashing which he has called “Drown the Gown” (Cool name). We did this maternity shoot with Rebecca around the rock pools of Coogee. And the ocean was actually quite rough that day, so we made sure that we kept well away from the edges and stayed on the dry parts of the rocks so that there were no accidents. Making sure Mums don’t fall or slip, is one of my most important safety factors when shooting outdoors.

I also tried out my black & white background here. So the last two photos were just taken around the rocks and not actually in a studio. Which is great in that we can create a few different looks in the same area.

Sydney Red Dawn

Like all Sydney-siders this morning, I woke to this freaky red glow coming from behind the curtains. It seriously looked like something out of the movies, where the world is about to end. So after a minute of contemplating the thought of going back to bed… I threw on a hat, jumped in my dust covered car and headed out to take some photos. These photos haven’t been photoshopped to look like this either. Pretty cool morning
