2011 – what a year!

2011 was an amazing year for Kim and I, both personally and professionally. It has been our busiest and most exciting year so far.

The year started off in Tasmania where I kicked off my 365 self-portrait project… which I did complete… just. I basically took a photograph of myself every day for the whole year. It is really nice to look back on our year through these photos, but to tell you the truth, it was really hard to complete… mainly because we were just so busy. And finished the year in Bowral on New Years Eve for our final wedding of the year (which I’ll share in a few weeks).

In between, we shot sixty five weddings, with weddings in Sydney, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, Southern Highlands, Brisbane, Canberra, Sunshine Coast, two in Fiji and one in Bali. During winter we managed to have a month off, where we travelled to Helsinki, Finland then over to France (where we spent most of our time driving around this beautiful country). We then flew back via Hong Kong. We have met some of the most wonderful couples and shared in their most precious wedding moments. We’ve seen a lot of laughter and tears, and have visited some really stunning locations. So thank you to all our wonderful couples who have trusted us. We feel truly honoured to have been chosen to document these weddings.

2012 is looking like another amazing year for us. As well as moving into a our new home, we are already heavily booked and have some really exciting Australian and overseas destination weddings planned, which we just can’t wait for 🙂
