This was my first year entering the NSW Australian Institute of Photography (AIPP) State Awards and my goal was to get a Silver Award and also learn from watching the judging process. And I entered the awards with this quirky image of Elise & Rick which I thought was really cool… and I was lucky enough to score a 90 and get a GOLD Award.
There were 693 entries this year in various categories, including Portrait, Commercial, Illustrative, Landscape & Wedding, and only 17 Gold Awards were given out. And there were some amazing images submitted by some of the best photographers in the industry. So I feel extremely honoured and very happy to have done well.
And a big thanks to Elise & Rick for trusting me to capture some different, but pretty cool images on their wedding day.
