Sarah & Nathan Wedding | Blue Hotel Sydney| St Bedes Pyrmont | Astral Restaurant

Sarah and Nathan’s are a Wollongong couple who decided to do something a little different to all their friends, and have a Sydney wedding. And if you told any Bride that it would rain all day and that they might get stuck in a lift… I’m sure they would be a little worried. But I have to say, that Nathan and Sarah are two of the most positive, friendly people we have met.

The day started off when met the boys at the Blue Hotel in Woolloomooloo for preparation… and they were a little worse for wear, but with a little hair of the dog they soldiered on 😉 They then headed down to Kingsley Steakhouse for a ‘light lunch’ before the ceremony 🙂 Next we then headed over to Sarah and the girls at Star City Casino Apartments, which was just a short stroll over to the church which was the lovely St Bedes Pyrmont.

Being a slightly wet day we headed back over to the Blue Hotel for the location which is amazing inside and out, as it is a old converted wharf. Also stopping at the famous Harry’s Cafe de Wheels for a hot dog.

The reception was held at Star City in Astral Restaurant with fabulous food and views, which the Bridal Party, the couple and myself got to enjoy from the comfort of our glass lift, which we were in for over an HOUR!! Yes the lift got stuck on the 17th floor, just as the bridal party were about to enter the reception. But it really wasn’t that bad… the lift was air-conditioned… we had lovely views… I really got to know everyone really well… no one needed the bathroom… Nathan had a mini bottle of scotch and I had a camera 🙂 Things could have been worse. Star City are really lucky they had a wonderful bride like Sarah because she totally understood and never went Bridezilla lol. And I could see that the wedding coordinator from Astral was really upset that this happened and they extended the dinner and beverages for an extra hour. And it’s a credit to Nathan & Sarah that they did not let anything ruin the day… they took it in their stride and got on with the celebrations 🙂

Comedian Matt Hollywood had flown up from Melbourne to perform his hilarious act, which the groom got involved in, and then the partying began!!

Thank you again Nathan & Sarah for letting us capture your day, and if I was going to be stuck in a lift with anyone… I’m glad it was you guys 🙂
